Boston Music Festival presents a Battle of the Bands...

Here's how it works:

We book you at a venue...you bring all your friends...you play a killer 60 minute set...your friends and fans all vote for you...you win lots and lot of great prizes (did we mention how many??)...and then you play in front of THOUSANDS of people at the final Sunday event at Boston City Hall Plaza.

Prizes include:

1) Featured airplay on Boston Music Radio
2) DEMO Consideration for Airplay on WBCN
3) On-Air interview Consideration on WBCN
4) Airplay on college radio stations
5) Interview on college radio stations
6) Coverage in the local print and entertainment publications
7) DVD of winning performance at Boston City Hall Plaza
8) Gear from Fender
9) 20 hours of rehearsal space
10) Studio time

So, a little bit about the voting procedure. Voting is done in TWO ways.

First, we encourage you to bring as many people as you can to the live show. These fans will be able to vote by way of text messaging your band name and a secret code. (These codes will only be active that night, so any hopes of having all your friends worldwide text your band name to this "secret address"...yeah, that won't work. Sorry!)

Second, to those fans of yours that can't make it to the show, (now this is the chance for those facebook friends overseas) tell them to go to and vote for your band online as part of OurStage's online Battle of the Bands competition. IMPORTANT!! Your band needs to register on OurStage's website to be considered for votes. Otherwise NO ONE can vote for you. And that makes everyone sad.

Now Listen! Keep your eyes and ears open on Saturday (9/13), because we'll be announcing all the winners. Yes, we will call you. Yes, we will email you. Yes, we will knock on your door...well, maybe not...but pay attention, because we'll be letting you know!!
